About Me
Recently retired from teaching, I spend a lot of my time writing and promoting my poems, letters, articles, and short stories. My work has been widely published here and abroad since 1957. I've written nine books on poetry and the poetry craft. My chapbook, Greatest Hits: 1970-2000, was published by Pudding House Publications (largest small press in America) in 2001 and is included in their American Poets Series. My most recent book, released in January 2010, is a collection of 164 short-short stories called Flashing My Shorts. The book is available on Amazon in the U.S., the U.K., France, and Germany.
My wife Sharon and I live in Princeton, West Virginia, which, true to the song, is "almost heaven."
